Hester has 9 years work experience in office and project management. She has worked as office assistant at ChildRight Worldwide- a project concerned with fighting child exploitation. For last 7 years she has worked at the International Project Office of the Land-Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zone project (core project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme and the International Human Dimensions Programme on global environmental change). She has worked as office manager for the project which was first based in the Netherlands and later in Germany. Main tasks have been: Organisation and coordination of international meetings, workshops and conferences in Mexico, Kenya, United States, The Netherlands and Germany; Desk top publishing – coordination of quarterly newsletter (printed and electronic), design and lay-out of reports, brochures and posters; Website design and webmaster; Office management including accounts and project budgeting, day to day communications with international networks of scientists and other projects; Science communication and dissemination, which became her principle role. Her current position in Envision is focussed on project-based communication and dissemination tasks as well as general project & office management.
