Project Management
Envision has been an active participant in collaborative projects and, being an SME (Small to Medium Enterprise), recognises the importance of well-defined project management and leadership in the successful completion of tasks. Envision has much experience in assessing project progress and can advise on strategies and approaches for achieving effective outcomes.
Decision Support
Envision thinks that it is important that decisions about the environment are made using a clear and transparent decision-making process and based on the best available evidence. We have designed various decision support tools that graphically present and guide decisions in a methodical and logical manner.
Quality Management
Envision has a wealth of experience and familiarity with datasets collected for marine environmental and mapping purposes. Where it is required, Envision can ensure quality data is collected in the correct manner using appropriate standards or operation procedures. Data can also be analysed and checked to ensure the quality of the data and that it is fit for purpose and function. These quality assurance and control procedures provide a level of confidence in datasets and results which can remove ambiguity and confusion and allow best use of expensive datasets.

Through its expertise and capabilities in coastal zone management, environmental surveys, marine spatial planning, decision support tools and communicating science, Envision is well equipped to address all the essential elements of the Environmental Assessment process.
Communicating Science
Envision has produced a wide range of outputs from research and consultancy projects designed to communicate and disseminate science and environmental management to the public and policy and decision makers. Drawings of marine life, habitats, processes or data can also be produced to illustrate concepts and enhance the presentation of information.
Environmental Assessment
Envision has experience in the environmental assessment of planned development, as well as impacts from disturbances, from a variety of coastal settings including coral reefs and tropical habitats.
Decision Support
Maps can be very useful tools for spatial planning and assessment, but the user must always be aware of the level of confidence they can place in the map, and its limitations. For the Mapping European Seabed Habitats (MESH) project, Envision developed a 'confidence tool' to provide a systematic approach to assessing the quality of each of the methods and techniques involved in making the map, giving a score for each of these elements, and then finally for the overall map.
