Brought together by a common goal to use their knowledge and capabilities most effectively, Envision Management and Envision Mapping joined forces to provide a more holistic range of services to support coastal and marine management. Envision formed in 2001 as a spinout from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in response to growing demand for the skills acquired through their research.

Thailand Tsunami Project
Envision Management and Mapping have worked closely together on a project to address the needs of the Tsunami affected communities of Laem Son in Southwest Thailand. This has combined coastal management, education and training, and GIS and mapping elements, in order to help the communities understand their natural resources and manage them to their full potential.
